Natural Flooring
To compliment our excellent Hardwood flooring, we have introduced a range of Natural stone. Limestone, Granite, Marble.
Travertine and Quartz are available in various sizes and we have carefully
chosen the range to work well with our entire wood floor range. A mixture of
beige, cream, greys and dark tones guarantee that there will be a stone
available to match your tastes. Most of our stone flooring is available in
flat (honed)
polished or tumbled formats.
We have tillers available to install your stone floor so your visit to Timberzone could be a one-stop-shop for your flooring needs.
Travertine:
formed from dissolved and compressed limestone, the beautiful patterns seen
in our travertine is caused by fossilization of plants and small organisms
as well as different densities of stone.
Marble :
is a metamorphic rock, originally limestone stone that has been subject to
such high temperatures and compression that all fossilization has been
destroyed and the rock has undergone recrystallization , to form the hard
material we know as Marble. White marble is derived from pure limestone,
coloured or veined marble from impurities such as iron, silt , serpentine
(green) etc. These impurities give marble it s stunning shades and patinas.
Granite:
An Igneous (formed from volcanic activity) rock with a course granular
texture, it is extremely dense and hard wearing and generally uniform in
colour it works superbly in both traditional and contemporary projects.
Slate:
Formed by heat and compression of a type of Sedimentary rock usually clay
and volcanic ash. Subjected to less compression than marble and because of
the shale-like rocks it is derived from, its layers can be easily visible.
Slate is, nevertheless a timeless, classic, and hard-wearing product and
Compliments any type of wood floor.
