Timberzone can supply hardwood doors to match or work with your floor.
Custom
Made Range
We
import unfinished engineered oak and use colours, stains and oils to produce
spectacular floors the can exactly match the client’s vision of what they
would like. In the past it has been the case that a particular look could
only be approximately achieved by finding a close match. Those days are gone
now, with our Custom Made Range. Any Colour or mixture of tones can be
achieved and we can also age and distress the floor to give it and old world
feel.
Solid Wood Flooring
We
import and source a massive range of solid hardwood flooring. Whilst Oak is
the most popular, we can acquire virtually any known species. With the rarer
tropical hardwoods, we prefer to source these from plantations where the
trees are grown specifically to harvest and have a Zero forest footprint.
Most species come in a variety of widths and lengths and can be finished to
the client’s tastes.
Parquet flooring
Parquet
flooring is solid (and now engineered) strips of wood manufactured to lay in
geometric patterns. Synonymous with schools, libraries, factory floors and
churches as well as domestic dwellings, it adds traditional class to any
environment. Because the strips of wood are relatively small in comparison
to its thickness, parquet floors offer stability and durability second to
none.
Laminate
Laminate flooring is made to simulate wood flooring. It is an image
(photograph) of a hardwood floor covered by a clear protective layer. The
base is often comprised of melamine resin and fibre board. Laminates offer a
low cost, low maintenance alternative to real wood. Typically laid as a
floating floor (not fixed to the subfloor) it more often than not has a
Click or Lock system for ease of installation. We offer a range of laminates
that are 8.3mm thick rather than the standard 7mm and are attractive and
robust.
Underlay :
There
are a huge range of underlays with varying applications and performance
abilities. Whilst commonly used for bedding floating floors, they can offer
acoustic , thermal and moisture reduction properties. We keep underlays
suitable for any application. In the case of noise reduction our
underlays
have BS numbers and fall well within Building Regulations.
Underfloor Heating:
There
are two primary types of underfloor heating.
Electric;
a series of wires, or mats are laid ,
with a probe, leading to a thermostat and in turn, mains power.
Wet System;
Pipes
are bedded into a concrete screed and fed by the boiler.
Underfloor heating offers a very different method of
heating your home to radiators as it is ambient heat over the whole of your
floor space. The heated floors never get hot, and never need to, and you
don’t get draughts or cold areas as you might with radiators. We are able to
give advice as to which method is best for you and we have tradesman that
can install either.
